Information

InfoCamp is an unconference for Information and Technology professionals in Seattle. The conference attracts students and professionals to discuss current industry trends and network within our community. The focus on information invites cross polination between the hard core information workers, and the bleeding edge technologists who make it happen.

This year’s theme is the Mad Scientist. Get out there and mix it up.

Seamus Rocks InfoCamp

In the latest episode of Seamus learning about InfoCamp, he both attends and leads sessions, because at InfoCamp, the participants create the content! At InfoCamp, you can present on anything you want! Well, almost anything. It's just a question of whether or not anyone wants to see what you're presenting on...

Watch his adventures continue:

One thing is...

Who, What, and Why...

Who comes to InfoCamp?

InfoNerds! InfoCamp is a great opportunity to talk shop and to demonstrate knowledge. Find out what people are doing because it might be what you want to be doing or inform what you already are doing.

Sponsors and Employers! Sponsors are hiring. Attendees are hiring. Maybe some attendees may not yet know they are hiring until they meet you. They may draw up job descriptions on napkins with their Sharpies. It could happen over...

A Taste of What's Coming!

InfoCamp Seattle 2012 Planning Committee Member extraordinaire Misty Melissa Weaver, with help of the twitterverse, had a conversation with Dan Klyn, Sunday's plenary speaker, about IA -- a little teaser of what is in store for our participants!

More About Presenting!

Walk This Way!

Remember that at InfoCamp, we vote with our feet! If there are only a few people in your session, don't fret -- make the most of your time with the people who share your interests! If you want to reach a wider audience with an idea, take note of what others are interested in and think about how your topic relates. You can always lead another session...

As a participant, if you're in a session that doesn't speak to your passion, you're allowed to try...

How to Rock the Unconference!

InfoCamp is based on the unconference format, meaning participants provide most of the content. The schedule is created on a first-come, first-served  basis and people gravitate towards the topics that interest them most. It's open to all ideas in the world of information and all are welcome to attend and to present.

So, what makes a good unconference session? Because...
